Description
Glycerin is what is often used in Pressure Gauges to help steady the pointer if pressure pulsations or vibrations are making it bounce around and become unreadable. Glycerin also helps the Gauges longevity, by providing a sealed case and lubrication for its internal mechanism.
Our convenient bottles of Glycerin are ideal for topping up Gauges that may have leaked. Or for when you have a dry, non-filled, Pressure Gauge and it is suffering with an unsteady pointer.
We supply a 85 to 15 – Glycerine / water ratio. This viscosity allows for optimum gauge function. The average Gauge will take approx. 50100 mL of Glycerin, depending on the dial size.
Liquid filling doesnt protect a Gauge from strong pressure surges and/or spikes however. We have Pressure Snubbers, Pressure Restrictors and Gauge Protection devices for those instances.
