Constructed with corrosion-resistant stainless steel. Seals are soft blue polyurethane (not autoclavable) and may leach mercury and potential other metals contaminants in trace amounts. Water bottles are available with silicone seals for less metals contamination. Metal parts are 316 or 304 stainless steel except fasteners and plastic-coated cables of 18-8 steel.

This model of Kemmerer water samplers are not suitable for trace metal analysis due to the potential for contamination (i.e. mercury and phosphorus) by the materials in the sampler’s end seals. For trace metal analysis, choose the van dorn Beta bottle or trace metal Kemmerer water samplers.
