This fully self-contained rain gauge utilizes a tipping-bucket rainfall collector and a HOBO Pendant Event Data Logger to automatically record up to 160 inches of rainfall data with a 16,000-tip memory capacity. The nonvolatile EEPROM memory retains data even if the battery fails. Start date and time can be programmed by the user.
A HOBO Pendant Optic USB Base Station, or HOBO Waterproof Shuttle and HOBOware Pro software (each sold separately) are required to connect the rain gauge to a computer for launch and readout. The rain gauge features a removable top for easy data offload, three mounting feet for setup on level surfaces (three screws included), and a side bracket for mast mounting (hose clamps included).
